Several amendments to documentation and billing requirements were passed during the 2019 Legislative Session for HCBS organizations to comply with. These include specifications around the detail needed for service and equipment documentation, from the language the documentation must be recorded in to the information required for service verification. These changes were specifically made in Minnesota Statute 256B.4912.

Each of these requirements goes into effect on July 1, 2019. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in payments being recovered by the state. Please follow up with ARRM staff with any questions or clarifications.
