Tasked with overseeing the strategic mission and business affairs of the association, the ARRM Board of Directors is an all-volunteer group offering decades of experience in the human services sector, from across the state.

Sue Schettle

Chief Executive Officer

Sue serves as ARRM's CEO. Prior to joining ARRM, she was the CEO of the Twin Cities Medical Society, a membership association representing more than 4,000 physicians from the 7-County Metropolitan Area, leading several ground-breaking public health initiatives on behalf of members. Sue provides the strategic vision and organizational management for ARRM, working collaboratively with the Board of Directors, staff and members to ensure the association is a leading voice in the advocacy for community-based providers and the people they support.

Sara Grafstrom

Senior Director of State and Federal Policy

Sara leads all ARRM’s government affairs and public policy advocacy efforts at both the state and federal level, as well as the leading ARRM staff representative to the Best Life Alliance. She is the primary staff for the Service Innovations Committee, the Unit Based Services Taskforce and the Grassroots Advocacy Network. She also provides support to the Financial Resources Committee.

Ken Bence

Director of Research, Analysis and Policy

Ken leads ARRM’s research and policy arm, breaking down and assessing public policy while developing essential data and research analysis systems to inform ARRM's legislative and public affairs. He brings over 25 years of experience in public health and managed care, as well as healthcare analytics, to this role. Ken provides staff leadership to the Financial Resources Committee and Alternative Payment Model Workgroup, and delivers valuable training in the Disability Waiver Rate System to Minnesota providers.

Ashley Wear

Senior Director of Member Services

Ashley leads ARRM’s work to create meaningful and engaging experiences for members. She oversees the planning and execution of all educational programming, conferences, events, and trainings, ensuring they reflect the needs and priorities of the disability services community. In addition to managing ARRM’s communications, event promotions, and social media, Ashley also cultivates sponsorships and partnerships that strengthen member value. She serves as the primary staff liaison for the Education Committee and supports the Executive Committee on strategic content development. Known as ARRM’s unofficial historian, Ashley keeps the legacy of the organization’s events and initiatives alive while building new opportunities for connection and impact.

Rachel Dyer

Director of Finance

Rachel is ARRM’s Finance Director and brings over 20 years of accounting experience, more than half of that time in nonprofit finance. She leads ARRM’s budgeting, financial reporting, investments, and audit processes, while also managing organizational policies, payroll, benefits, and insurance. Rachel provides staff leadership to the Finance Committee and works closely with the Member Services team to support a seamless experience for ARRM’s members. She enjoys translating complex financials into clear insights for staff and board members.

Senior Executive Assistant

With over 8 years of administrative experience, Erin is the Senior Executive Assistant at ARRM, providing support to the CEO, Department Directors, and Board of Directors. Erin plays a key role in managing board operations, coordinating meeting logistics, and facilitating clear communication across ARRM’s departments. Her work in project management, scheduling, and office operations helps drive organizational efficiency and execution of ARRM's mission.

Jonathan Tvedt

Policy and Engagement Manager

Johnny leads ARRM’s Grassroots Advocacy effort and serves as the Policy Manager under Sara Grafstrom. He is also the primary staff member for the Family Residential Services Committee. Johnny brings experience from both federal and state levels of government, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota.

Megan Petersen

Communications Manager

Megan leads communications across ARRM, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. She joins ARRM with communications experience that spans over 10 years and numerous industries. In addition to her communications work, Megan has been a journalist, an academic advisor, an editor, a blogger, and a professional tutor. Megan's favorite challenge is explaining complex topics in digestible ways. She thrives when uplifting the voices of others. Supporting ARRM's mission blends Megan's passion for storytelling, fierce advocacy for people with disabilities, and tendency to nerd out about public policy.
