ARRM is excited to announce the nine members elected to serve the next three-year term as directors on the ARRM Board. This was a contested election, demonstrating an exciting energy behind the association’s vision and strategic plan.
Six incumbent directors were re-elected to their positions: Chris DeVos (The Mentor Network), Heidi Holste (Northeast Residences), Don Priebe (Homeward Bound), Cindy Ostrowski (Hiawatha Homes), Jennifer O’Neill (Howry Residences), and Sam Orbovich* (Fredrikson & Byron).
In addition, three open seats on the board were filled by two first-time ARRM board members, as well as one returning board member. While already leaders within ARRM in their current capacities, their unique perspectives and expertise strengthens the vision of our board of directors and we are excited to welcome them warmly.
*Sam holds the Associate Member director seat on the ARRM Board.
Butch Karcher, Karcher Foster Services
Butch is a 30-year veteran of the field, an owner/operator of both family licensed foster homes and corporate licensed homes during that time. He is a strong, vocal, and recognized advocate for home and community-based service (HCBS) providers in political circles. As a board member, he will bring an additional voice for small providers to the organization’s leadership, as well as helping to shape a strong, focused, and effective advocacy voice for the association.
Stacy Roe, Mains’l
Stacy is Vice President of Services for Mains’l and heavily involved in many ARRM policy committees and work groups, as well as the Best Life Alliance. In this role, she has wide ranging expertise on service types as well as the regulatory landscape governing them. Similarly, Stacy has participated in numerous service transformation initiatives and will be a valuable voice as ARRM considers how to advocate for the future of HCBS in Minnesota and beyond. Drawing from her beginnings as a DSP, she hopes to help lead ARRM towards advancing society’s recognition of the valuable contributions of HCBS organizations and the people they support.
Rhonda Peterson, Integrity Living Options
Rhonda will begin her fourth term as an ARRM board member, having served in multiple board leadership positions in the past, and heavily engaged with ARRM committees throughout her career in HCBS. As ARRM works to expand the constituencies its members represent, Rhonda’s experience and vision as the CEO of an agency which primarily provides unit-based services for the mental health population will be invaluable to the association’s leadership.
ARRM thanks all those who sought election to the board this time around, and for their ongoing leadership as committee members and active members.
